Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I’m in Brantford or Brant County? The easiest way to decide this is by who you pay your taxes to – City of Brantford or County of Brant.
How high can I fill the bin?The bin should not be filled over the top edge of the bin so we can tarp and safely transport your filled bin. Please call or email the office for the capacity for dirt, concrete, etc.
How do I protect my driveway? We place boards under the front and back of the bin to help prevent scratches and/or gouges on your driveway for no additional fee.
What is not allowed in the bin?
Propane tanks, car batteries, paint cans with lids, tires, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, insecticides, appliances, fluorescent bulbs, yard waste with trash, recyclables, etc.
Recyclables including, cardboard, steel, paper, brush, etc. plastic can be left at curbside for regular collection. We can pick up appliances but they would have to be kept in a separate bin or see our multi-use bins.
Do you supply lids to keep other people from putting their junk in my bin?We have 8 yard bins with locking lids. For larger bins, if you are concerned, you can purchase a cheap tarp from your local hardware store which usually deters others from using your bin.
What do I do if I fill up my bin and need another one?The same rates and charges apply for additional bins. The driver will either bring an empty bin and exchange it or dump and return the existing bin.
What if I need more time than the days included? Each day over the rental period is subject to additional fees. Please contact our office or see our bin rental rates. We realize some clients will need longer than the days rented. Therefore, we ask that all clients contact our office to arrange for removal. The bin will not automatically be picked up after the period rented.
What are the delivery and pick up times?Delivery and pick-ups times are between 7am and 5pm. We cannot guarantee an exact time but if you call our office, you will be given an approximate time. Please make sure the bin is not blocked on the scheduled pick up date and please make sure the bin doors are closed and properly latched.
I do not have a driveway. Can the bin be placed on the road or on my lawn? You will require a permit to place the bin on the road from your local by-law office. We can place the bin on the lawn but any damages will at your expense. The trucks are heavy and may cause ruts.
How can I pay for the service? The preferred methods of payment are e-transfer and credit card. We do accept cash. However, we will need a cash deposit when the bin is dropped off. Once the bin is picked up and dumped we will reconcile the fees and either advise you of further charges or issue you a refund within 7 business days.
